Coaching the Family Team provides 4 different family workshops, all including fun activities, helpful skill sets and great bonding time for your family!
These workshops can be geared towards families with kids of any age or simply the parents and are 2 hours in length. You can bring these workshops to your home, school, church and community. The hosting family enjoys the workshop for FREE! The fee for groups with 4 – 8 families is $25 per family; 9 or more families are $20 per family.
Topics:
Family Communication :
- Work on strong listening skills
- Have a ‘fact vs. opinion’ discussion
- Learn how to stand up for yourself while respecting others
- Practice the differences between placating, passive-aggressive, bullying and positive strength communication
Family Team Building :
- Create a family mission statement and motto
- Learn to recognize and value each others roles in the family
- Bond over your family’s uniqueness
- Work on goal setting together
Families Against Peer Pressure :
- Practice healthy, strong responses to peer pressure vs. placating or bullying
- Discuss ‘You are who you hang out with’
- Learn the 40 assets that help young people thrive
- Decide your families ‘sphere of influence’ and rules
Using Character Education in Your Home :
- Explore 12 Character Traits
- Learn about heroes throughout History and around the World who demonstrated each trait
- Discuss books for every age that will enhance the understanding of character.
- Make a Family Plan for a year of Character Focus
